Meet Chris – Founder & CEO
Chris, a seasoned CRNA and entrepreneur, launched ICON Anesthesia with a vision to simplify staffing without sacrificing quality. With over 15 years of clinical and administrative experience, Chris understands the challenges faced by both providers and facilities. He’s committed to creating an environment where CRNAs and anesthesiologists feel valued—and where facilities never have to worry about coverage gaps.
Chris’s approach is rooted in transparency, collaboration, and compassion. He leads with empathy, ensuring that every client and clinician feels supported. He’s also hands-on with many of our client facilities, bridging communication between administration and clinical teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

With a dynamic background spanning healthcare, business, and philanthropy, Chris brings a wealth of expertise to ICON Anesthesia of New England and ICON Exchange. Raised in a military family and an avid athlete, he honed his leadership skills early, playing collegiate soccer while earning a degree in Kinesiology and Business Administration from Gordon College.
His career began in pharmaceutical sales, but his passion for patient care led him to pursue a BSN at Syracuse University. He went on to earn his master’s in Nurse Anesthesia at Northeastern University and gained extensive clinical experience across Massachusetts before co-founding ICON. Chris has also participated in medical missions to Guatemala and Haiti and supports local causes like the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Adult & Teen Challenge. Meet Elaine – Partner & Director of Facility Operations
Elaine Sullivan brings over two decades of CRNA experience and a deep commitment to both clinical excellence and organizational leadership. With a Master of Science in Nursing from Northeastern University, a Master’s in Healthcare Leadership from Brown University, and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama, Elaine exemplifies academic and clinical distinction.
Prior to joining ICON, Elaine ran her own practice focused on office-based plastic surgery anesthesia. Now, as a partner and co-owner, she plays a critical role in strategic facilities management and clinical operations.
Elaine is also a respected leader in the anesthesia community, having served as Education Chair for NEANA and as President of the Massachusetts Association of Nurse Anesthetists (MANA). She continues to advocate for CRNAs as part of MANA’s Government Relations CommitteeES Website Bio.
Meet Kevin – Partner & Strategic Operations
Kevin Donovan is an experienced CRNA and accomplished business professional with over 25 years in the anesthesia field. He earned his BSN from Salem State University (Magna Cum Laude) and a Master’s in Nurse Anesthesia from Northeastern University.
Kevin has been instrumental in scaling ICON from a single-site model to a national multi-facility organization. His strengths span clinical anesthesia, recruitment, business management, and strategic growth planning. Known for his steady leadership and results-driven approach, Kevin’s contributions continue to shape ICON’s operational excellence and growth trajectory.
